Callsign Warlord isn't exactly a realism mod but it does put the planes closer to what weapons would actually be available to it. Loadouts may not be true to real life as I am not sure of every plane's config per loadout. But I have done a lot of research on the weapons that would be available. Some planes were not meant for combat, like the SR-71 and some were never entered into production, like the A-12. So there wasn't much to go by on them. Rest assured the Exocet has been mounted and ready to fire and while not every Mirage was outfitted with it, those that were listed as it being available, got it. Some weapons had to be substituted with what I felt was closet. A good example would be the Russian planes. Most of the weapons in the game files are American.
Rules of thumb.
Exocet - Big and bad. But you'll lock on the target long before you can fire. It has low fuel and if you fire too soon it won't make it to the target. If you learn how to use it, it's great but comes with risks so the damage it does does not make it too powerful.
AIM-120 - Air-to-Air only. Fires like a radar-guided missile but you can fire 2 at a time. Great for big targets that take multiple hits but you will need to remain locked till both missiles hit.
Harpoon - Currently works just like the radar-guided for land, sea, and air. If it can be restricted to land and sea, that is the goal.
JDAM - Works like Multi-Target AG Missiles but as falling directed bombs. Sometimes other targets get caught in the bomb's explosion taking them out too.
Skins were never finished so users of Callsign Warlord will need to apply whatever skins they like. It is easy enough.
The weapon packs were difficult to work with and imposed a number of limitations on what I wanted to create, thus I did what I could in the interest of the basis for the mod.
This is a Single Player and LAN Multiplayer mod. If someone wants to make it usable online, they are free to modify this mod to do so. They are also free to use it with their own created mods or expand on what I have done if they wish.
Everything is now complete except the playtesting....when that is done I will post a link.
Also a good mention on one of the weapon pack is more than 2 hard points dedicated to AIM-9s (joint strike missiles) for use in heated dog fights. The ability to fire off 2 missiles on a target and switch targets and weapons quickly to squeeze off 2 more before or by the time the first set of AIM-9s are ready to fire again. In some cases, depending on the target, you can take out 4 targets this way.
